Festive Fun with Volunteers - December 2012

xmascardlineA huge thank you to our volunteers from the Caldecott Community Robert Clarke and Mark Sevia who returned to PETT on Monday 3rd December for another week of archive and oral history work in the Archive and Study Centre.

Robert continued to build on his ongoing work with the Caldecott Archives: listing and cataloguing, adding his own knowledge and experience to the record, and helping to identify areas which need further attention. Mark finished working through his life story interviews with Gemma then began to transcribe some other oral history recordings following a one-to-one tutorial with Chris Long.

xmascardpileOn Tuesday afternoon, they gathered with the team for our annual festive production line to help write the PETT Christmas cards, and on Wednesday they held a lively discussion with some fantastic ideas from Robert and Mark as to how we might expand our upcoming events programme next year. As always, our volunteers brought creativity, enthusiasm, ideas and inspiration (and took away lots of 'homework') – what a wonderful start to the festive season!
